Hi OC3D,
Finally thought I would join and post seeing as I am basically at the final stages of my long awaited computer build. Have been lurking on the forums a long time and love the review style of the site.
Now I have always had to settle computer wise however this was the first build I could get whatever I wanted more or less. The theme was to be Black and White with a clean interior. I have built quite a few computers in the past but this was the first I really tried to keep to my desired aesthetic, I feel like it paid off.
Specs:
Corsair 600T White Edition
Intel I7 3770K CPU with Corsair H100 cooler (2 x Corsair SP120mm fans)
Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard
EVGA 660ti 2GB GPU
Corsair 8GB(2x4GB) 1600Mhz C9 Vengeance RAM
Corsair AX850 PSU with Corsair White Cable Kit
Intel 520 60GB SSD for OS
Western Digital Black 1TB
DVD Burner
Corsair AF120mm fan for rear exhaust.
Peripherals:
Dell SP2309W Monitor
Corsair K90 Keyboard
Steelseries Diablo 3 Mouse
Steelseries 4HD Mousepad
As for performance I currently have the 3770k @ 4.6Ghz Stable and the 660ti overclocked with Precision X +123% +90Mhz +200Mhz. With this set up I am getting a 3D Mark 11 Score of P9050

I have benchmarked in BF3 Mainly with an average of 65FPS on Ultra Settings at 2048x1152 Resolution (yes I know, weird res, blame my Dell SP2309W). I can also benchmark Crysis 2, Shogun 2, GTA IV, ARMA 2 and Skyrim if people are curious as I have copies.
Overall I am extremely happy with this system, paying every game I want at an average of 60FPS+ at max settings is a nice feeling. Really impressed by the quality of most of the components but will now list some things I was not impressed by.
As you can see on the close up of the 660ti, there are scratches near the logo. This occurred when I was removing the protective covering and didn't realise the logo was just a sticker... It scratched ridiculously easily and was a bit disappointing but was my fault really, can't blame EVGA.
Now the other issue was I have had to RMA my Corsair K90 Keyboard. This was due to a firmware issue and am awaiting the replacement. Essentially the lighting didn't work along with the macro keys. On the plus side, had really great customer service from Corsair and my supplier PC Case Gear and should have the replacement tomorrow.
There are definitely a few things I will be adding. Firstly waiting on the Corsair Neutron GTX SSD's to hit Australia and will grab a 240GB model for Games. Will also be getting a kit of Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM, likely to be 16GB of 1866 but will see what prices are like. Will also be getting some sleeved white header extensions, I bought my own sleeving to do it myself, but was a pain and rather just spend the $30 and get premade ones.
Highly considering getting the Corsair Link Commander kit with Cooling and Lighting nodes, when I had the top 200mm fan in the lighting was alight but is now far too dark and do like the idea of having the lights change with temperature.
Will probably pick up the Steelseries Siberia V2 White headset next week too as I am using a pretty generic Microsoft headset at the moment, works pretty well but time to get something a bit better.
Now I also know people will ask me why I didn't get a 670 or 680 as the prices are dropping so fast. I only wanted to get an EVGA model, now in Australia, the 660ti is about $350, the 670 is $470 and the 680 is $650. So with the difference in performance being about +5-10% for the 670 over the 660ti and the gap even less to the 680, I really was only going to get either a 660ti or 670. What pushed it was the SLI potential costs in both money and power. The 660ti will use less power and in an SLI combo works out to be $240 cheaper than a 670 set up. However I will only grab a 2nd GPU once ARMA 3 comes out and will see how I handle that XD
Will be happy to answer any questions about my computer and thanks for reading
