600T Case Questions

I am looking at getting the Corsair 600T Silver Edition to replace my HAF X which I making that my server case instead. I have a few questions first would be for my setup that I am transferring in the case would keeping the window be better or worse? If I am better off using the mesh side panel instead could I get 4 fans on it at once with the size of my cpu cooler and what fans would be the best for the cost? I would say noise isn't and issue to me so far what I have heard noise on YouTube videos was pretty quite for me. The stuff that I am transferring into the new case is CPU: Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8Ghz Heat Sink: Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B CPU Cooler 2 Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F 120mm Mob: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB ( 2 x 4GB ) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Video: Diamond ATI Radeon HD 5850 PCI-E 16X 1GB Video Card Power: Antec EarthWatts 650 Sdd: OCZ OCZ-AGILITY3 ATA Device 120GB Hdd1: HITACHI Deskstar 7K3000 HDS723020BLA642 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Hdd2: Barracuda 7200.12 SATA 3Gb/s 1TB Hard Drive Optical Drive1: Lite-On 24 X iHAS424-98.

imo you should definitely use the window, not the mesh. There is no need for the extra cooling for your config, I'm not sure if you could even fit the mesh with the fans since you have a rather tall heatsink. The mesh also looks worse and it would be very annoying to unplug four fan every time you want to open the sidepanel.

My graphite came with only the mesh, So I bought the window separately.

If you run hot cards in SLI/crossfire it can be useful, but the window is better. Looks better, quieter, and you don't need the extra airflow.

It lets loads of dust in around the outside of the fans, and from the fans themselves if you don't filter them. It also makes the machine damn loud. (I tried it out).

Edit: AFAIK The silver 600t isn't confirmed for release yet?

Of course you could use splitters but even with one cable it is annoying, especailly since there is absolutely no need to have fans there that will only pull in dust. I have the 650d, so the same fan layout as the 600t and I never had a problem with high temps.

Now I have seen the 650D more and looks the same inside the same for the most part. Would it be better to buy the 650D or wait until the Silver Edition comes out. Unless there is a way to buy just the window alone for the normal Graphite one without buying the whole side panel.

I wasn't able to find just the window in their store, try writing to the support and ask if you can buy the window.

You have to decide if you want to wait or spend more money and get a 650D, there's no better or worse solution imo.
