Hey all, I am going to buy a new build and am unsure of which direction to go for the graphics. I will be using this as my work rig and I work mainly in animation (just starting 3D). My build will consist of:

i7 950

Sabertooth X58

12Gb kit of ram

700-800W PSU

and I already have an HAF-932, D-14 and HDDs.

The 560Ti SLI and the 580 are very close in price...which setup should I get?

560's in sli is my opinion as a 560 owner I am impressed by this lil cards performance and even more impressed by Toms vid of them in SLI

id go for the best single card u can afford mate, and if thats a 580 then get one and leaves u upgradability in the future unlike 560 sli

plus unsure about how sli works with 3d animation?

Hi mate, The way i look at it is if you can afford a single more powerful gpu then that's what you want, The fact that the 580 is more memory means it will handle higher res and high AA, AF better. Basically go for a 580, you won't regret it mate

I'd go for this one:

I would go for the single GTX 580, probably the MSI Twin Frozr one. That is simply because you won't have to deal with SLI. You also have more video memory, which is good for higher AA and AF and higher resolutions.
