560 ti new generation ?

i have been wanting to build a pc for a while now and i have been looking around at graphics cards recently, im quite interested in the 560ti, not too expensive, but still a decent card, and i know that the new 600 series have been released and im just wandering if there is going to be a new card for an equivalent to the 560 ti, and if so when will it come out, is it already out?, or just stick with the 560ti?

the specs for the pc are

corsair 600w power supply

intel core i5-3570k

corsair vengeance 8gb (2x4gb)

zalman heat pipe cpu cooler

corsair 120gb ssd

Asrock z77 extreme 4 s1155

Bitfenix Shinobi

any help will be much appreciated

Yes, the 660ti is expected to be out soon enough, within the next month or two hopefully.

But pricing is unknown. Considering the current 670 series are between 300-350 quid, it'd be a massive difference if the 660ti's were around £150 like the current 560ti's are. With a bit of luck the 560ti's will come down in price when they are released, so it'll be easier to make you decision then, but I cant see them being less than about £230 tbh

thanks jamesriley94, that is a good point actually so would you think it would be worth it to wait till they come out? or go with a 7000 series from AMD? but im less fimilar with AMD so idk what their graphics equivalent is to the 560 ti and the price aswell?

and seumasbeathan games such as

sniper elite

skyrim

diablo 3

battlefeild 3

and maybe a bit of minecraft too

and all on the highest setting i can get while still being playable

AMD's equivalent is between a 6870-6950.

I would personally look at getting a 7850 as it will run those games on highest settings fine, and will perform better than a 560ti.

It all depends on budget really, and if you're wanting to run BF3, I would want anything lower than a 560ti. If you can stretch your wallet a little more, maybe look at a 7870, as that should hit 60fps on all those games near enough, and because of that, you dont really need anything better than a 7870.

say i if could afford the 7870 (ive been looking and found them around £260) surely the nvidia side for the 7870 would be better? and also to get this budget for the graphics i had to decide to not get the SSD good idea? or bad?

It's hard to tell at this stage really. Before the 660ti's are out and have been tested, no one could really answer that. I see it more of a bat and ball game with AMD and nvidia now. One side makes a good set of cards - ie, the AMD 7XXX series, then 5 months down the line nvidia goes and beats them with the 670s and 680s. Be sure in a few months AMD will have brought out something to beat nvidia. If you arent planning to buy now, list your parts, and allow like up to £250 for a graphics card, then look at reviews and prices as you're about to buy them. Things change so quickly in the graphics card market it's pointless listing this early in advance

I'm wondering why it only happens to me too, I know I know everything about computers and my words of wisdom do deserve being spread across the whole world!

but I'm sure other people on this site do know a few things as well, they could have copied a few things they say hahaa

It's definitely a bot and not someone trying to get there post count up. Whoever is behind it has made at least 5 accounts over the last couple of weeks, that I have noticed anyway, just keep reporting the posts when you see them and hopefully after he has had all his accounts banned a few times he will leave and try it on another forum.
