Does anyone know any good deals on a 4tb ssd? Ive seen prices from £880 to £1400. I know you can buy a 8tb hdd for under £200 but id still be thinking when is it going to fail..

4TB SSDs are extremely rare in the consumer market, so much so that you are often better off getting two 2TB SSDs or even four 1TB SSDs (as that is often cheaper).

Google 'Micron 2TB SSD', or Amazon, etc. There was a rash of them on sale, as they were discontinued enterprise SSDs. I saw them for $350CDN at their cheapest, so $700CDN would net you a pair, which is a great deal for that much SSD storage.

At the moment ive got 5 drives with a total of 18tb, i can fit another drive in but if i went for 6 2tb ssds, that still only gives me 12tb... its bad when you've got so much 'STUFF' (cough cough) on your computer hehe, i suppose the easiest for now would be a few 8tb hdds and see what the prices look like in a year or three...

It sounds like you need to build an external NAS device.
