Im getting custom water cooling now, finally lol
is 1.45v for 4790k okay for everyday use under top water cooling?
from my experience it doesnt dry on core-metal just on metal-metal contact. and hey...its PRO not ultraCoolab paste direct on die? dont ever take that off will you![]()
what was it about ?Slightly off topic but this post led me to a thread related to IC Diamond24 paste which give unexpected results and quite an interesting bit of drama with beta testers hehe.![]()
IC24 paste was allegedly destroying cpu blocks, IHS, cpu dies and gpus.
Its very off topic but an interesting read. The drama begins around page 13

What a lot of people don't realise is that ICD24 stains but doesn't destroy that's were they are getting mixed up and a fact people often forget is that metal is porous to a point so staining will happen with certain TIM's.
I use ICD on everything, Even all my GPU's within the past 2 years and apart from staining the CPU's IHS and GPU's IHS *Not the die* it has never done any harm, there's just a lot of people out there that are 100% drama queen certified.
Hence why I stated allegedly. It certainly got out of control in the thread though.
I know just informing others
That thread and many others like it have Grade "A" drama queens in them XD
I actually wasted 2 hours in the office at work reading it. Quite amusing time killer.
That being said, i just "melted" an aluminium can with left over liquid pro just because I couldHousemate was impressed!
well both ultra and pro contains it. If u dont use aluminium ur safe..Liquid Pro contains Gallium which is just awful, you can buy it by the gram on Amazon in it's pure state. Best avoided IMHO.
Melted it ? Is the TIM that bad ? ^_^
well both ultra and pro contains it. If u dont use aluminium ur safe..![]()
