Is it worth the extra money for a 6 core 200$+ over a 4770k for editing (no 3d rendering) just photoshop/premiere elements?

is there that big of a benefit of the 6core?
trying to not spend the $ if i don't need to

which games?

and yes those cores make a massive difference to rendering, not in photoshop but in permiere it will

mostly starcraft, payday, some of the upcoming games as well

i mean is it going to be a bad experience like it currently is with a i3 rendering premiere? :p

lol i doubt it will be bad like i3, but it depends how worthit it is to you in this case.

If you had said BF4, and 3D i'd say get the 3930k, but you haven't so i'd say stick with the other one.

ya i'm not big into shooters, i'll probably get titanfall when it comes out but bf4 doens't interest me

i'm trying to spend the least amount of $ possible while still getting really nice performance, i'l have to spend around 80-100$ more on a mobo, and then another 200+ for cpu

alright well thanks man really appreciate your help. premiere is on a ssd so hopefully it'll be fine

any others have an opinion?

don't double post fella, just edit your last one if you need to. It's the weekend and BF4 beta has opened up so I'd imagine some/most of the more active lads are busy shooting each other :P Someone will likely pop along with an answer soon

If money is an issue go with the 4770k. Get a decent mobo and you just saved about $300+.
