Hi Everyone
I am debating adding another external drive to my system I already have a 2TB Seagate for storage
I was thinking of adding either a 3TB or a 4TB drive the cost is a factor the 3TB is £90 and the 4TB is £123
My main concerns at the moment are
That Windows 7 Ultimate 64 will limit the overall size once I connect the drive to the USB port I have searched online and found some references to changing the format from MBR to GPT as the max for MBR is 2.2TB but I have found it only concerns using the drive as bootable which I wouldn't be doing
Also would I need to flash my BIOS for it to be recognised I have a Gigabyte motherboard with capability for 3TB+ Unlock but would I need to use it
Is it as simple as just plugging the drive in and away we go can anyone shed some light on it for me.
Any help would be appreciated
Regards
