3Dmark06 *Few large(ish) screens*

Well i downloaded the free version in collage the other day and only just got round to running it.

It pretty much raped my poor little system, scoring this:

Now all i did was install and run, yet its telling me that its not at defult settings.

Wth?

I read a while ago its native rez was above 1024x768, the max of my TFT here. Could that be it?

If so ill have to run it on my trusty CRT to get a defult settings score?

It's 1280 x 1024 mate so yeah that may have been the problem

I see that changing soon as it seems more and more people are opting for widescreens, prehaps they`ll develope a 99.99% failproof calculation to have a standard for squarer screens and wide.

windscreen has never appealed to me

specially with films like LOTR where is like super stretched on my alreasdy wide screen tv

I recently bought an LCD and decided to go with a 19". I could had gotten widescreen or a bigger monitor for the same price,but I just don't like the idea of being force to run games at a res over 1280x1024 to get the full quality of the monitor. It's fine now that my hardware is all high end, but what about in the near future when the next gen games start coming out. To keep my fps at a decent rate I would have to upgrade my hardware a little bit too often.
