3dMark06 Official Launch in 2 Days!

Aww what. My card struggles enough with the last two tests on 05. I think It'd melt if it was put through any more stress!

Hey kemp, gonna dump that 600k sig any time soon? lol, that's enough to make my vid cards crash right there, lol.

I think this is whats going to convince me to get the gen-after-next (rumoured G80) when it comes out :)

By the time that comes out 3d Mark 07 might come out with another next gen chip about to be released :D

I put down a big old "NO!" to the poll... We've just begun to see what next-gen cards can do in '05. '06 is just another depressing piece of software designed to make us spend fucktons of money on parts we don't actually need.

My score on that is going to be low as owt.

I love the realist's perspective :D . It sure is gonna be a dose of humble pie for sure, todays high spec system is in tomorrows world obsolete. I agree with Frag...technology sucks to try and keep up with

...and peeps complained about my CS:S sig causing their CPU's temps to increase by a couple of degrees. There's no pleasing everyone rofl

Totally agreed. I have to have a 7800GTX 512mb at least to be able to play todays games at the res my monitor supports.

Which means I'll basically have to upgrade if I want to keep gaming at a native res

That's why 3dmark06 is teh suck... It holds absolutely no bearing on current gaming experiences or engines. But 3dmark never has, lol. Tiz for the hardcore bench whore I suppose. It just seems stupid to come out with a benchmark that todays very tip top technology can't perform well with.

I must say that the screenies look LUSH! :)

A sad thought that my pair of brand new GTX's won't be able to play this demo at a smooth framerate :(
