I got bored so decided to test my rigs limits in regard to game performance.
Without pushing my rig to the limits or engaging in any tweaks. I decided to see what would happen if I ran 3dmark 06 at my monitor native resolution of 1900*1200.
Of course there is no fun if it can't run with some eye candy so I engaged 8 levels of AF and HDR (coz AA and HDR dont go together on Nvidia cards) - I chose HDR as it would actually give me a score - no hdr prevent the last two tests running.
The result? A pleasing 7313 3dmarks - 200pts higher than my single card score at default settings with dual core cpu running at 3.2ghz.
Proving the fact that an FX60 (or other AMD dual core at 3.3ghz) @ 3.3ghz with 7900GTX's SLI 750/900 is man enough for any game available right now and at a resolution of 1900x1200 - so be good for the next gen uber GPU killing games at resolutions of at least 1600x1200, all with full eye candy.
