3D Blu-Ray burner

Is there a difference between Blu-Ray burner like this one and a 3D labeled driver like this one?

I want to be able to burn 3D Blu-Ray but I couldn't be sure about this matter, I would be thankful for a clarification.

The "3D" one isn't a 3D blu-ray burner neither is it a 3D reader for that matter, the specs are the same as the internal LG model, they have listed the drive incorrectly.

Is there even anything extra needed to read/burn 3D blurays? surely it's just data? I would imagine it depends more on the thing that reads it in software than the drive that writes it?

So no difference between the two except one is internal and the other one is external, I can buy either one and be able to burn 3D Blu-Ray discs with the proper software?
