3770k VS 2600K Have you seen this?

mb.org nvm then moving on

its also favourable to review clock for clock.

IE 3770K VS 2700K

EDIT: the only defining but minimal differences are

memory bandwidth is equal but the latency is lower, seems they did some tuning.

clock for clock IB is around 8% faster sometimes lower.

Lucid MVP is hit and miss with performance enhancements, but when its done correctly huge performance increases can be seen.

die shrink has made overclocking less desirable but 24/7 4.8ghz OC's are achievable.

As intel stated, it's a tick and not tock

If you have 2500k, 2600k or 2700k on z68 - Keep that system

if you have 2500k,2600k or 2700k on p67 - i would personally say keep the system

if you have 2500k,2600k or 2700k on z77 - it may be beneficial to go for IB, this is a more personal choice

if you're building a complete new system - Go IB

hurumph! too bad, i was looking forward to some blistering neatos or executions, but like Tom said "...it's only a die shrink, guys!"

How about;

"If you're on 1366 - go IB"

That right?

you dont have to. the emphasis is have to. if you are overclocked on 1366 thered be no need, 4.2GHz on 1366 is the same on 1155.

if you have an oler intel 775 or older or an amd system and you wanna swap to intel, ib is a new solution.
