Hi my motherboard I think has died so its time to upgrade only the motherboard and CPU.

Now I have £316 for all this does anyone know which is the best bang for the buk for CPU and motherboard?

This for 1080p gaming and video encoding ie video converter and light aftereffects work. Nothing 4k just 1080p.

I have DDR 3 memory and 550 power supply. I have a case and SSD hard drive. I would like this motherboard to have wifi and Bluetooth built in. So what cpu do you think I should get?

Can some help me pick the best cpu and motherboard. I am coming from Haswell-WS.

For DDR3 Intel 4790K. You can find them in combo with a motherboard. It should be less than that.

Sell off your old ddr3 its pointless buying new gear for old tech.
Spend the rest of your £100 on christmas.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor (£106.38 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: ASRock B450M-HDV Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (£52.39 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£53.98 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £212.75

I plan to buy more ones I get my system up and running I save some more money up for the rest of the parts I know.

Do I need a new cpu cooler also? I do need atx, not miro atx as I plan on buy wifi pci but maybe if their a motherboard with Bluetooth and wifi built-in would be good.

No it comes with a cooling unit its good for stock speeds, if you want to oc a little a cheap cooler master hyper 212 evo will get you some good temps and clocks.
pretty much any ATX B450 mobo will do you.
I have not seen bluetooth on a mobo in a long time and built in wifi is pretty bad on any mobo other than mini itx motherboards that are made small to go in to portable pc builds.

Every motherboard with built in WiFi I've seen recently had a dual module that supported Bluetooth, but not a single one had it advertised, and it didn't show up without the appropriate drivers, so may be worth bearing in mind.
