£300 to spend on card(s).

Okay so the build is almost ready now I just needed to decide on card(s).

I have been looking at both the 768MB and the 1024MB Asus 460 DirectCU TOP cards to run in SLI or I have been looking at a single Gigabyte 1280MB 470 Super OC.

Card vs card the 470 has better stats but for roughly the same price I can pick 2 768MB Asus 460's.

So given my situation what would you guys go for?

System;

Asus Sabertooth x58

i7 950

6GB Mushkin Ridgeback

60GB Mushkin SSD

850W Corsair HX PSU

In SLI I would get 768mb cards. Much cheaper to do and still blisteringly fast

Nice week only special on the EVGA 460 superclock (£129.99 a piece) and they have the good cooler

I would go with 2x GTX460.

Stick with the 768MB versions or spend a bit more and go for 1024MB?

Reason I ask is because the 768MB one has better Core, Memory Clock and Shader Clock speeds when compared to the 1024MB version.

Don't forget with those cards you get a free Hawx 2 code (steam I would imagine) so you can always flog one to a mate

I hate buying components, it makes parting with money so much easier.

Also, the included game codes I will pass onto tinytomlogan for use as small prize or something seeing as I will never use them and my friends are console gamers.

If you are still looking for something to buy then you might want to change you options.

If you want this build to last a long time I would advise a new 570, very very fast and just under £300.

Then, when the card is a little bit slow for your liking or you have some spare cash, just buy another 579 and whack it in.

If you put in two 460's they will get outdated a lot faster than the 570.

But to be honest the 460's are great cards so you cant really go wrong in this decision
