3.4EE socket 478 pls post

Hi all,

Who have Intel 3.4EE socket 478 pls post :

1) Max O/C @ what vcore

2) Max 100% stabled O/C @ what vcore

3) What cooling and temp

daz used to have that setup. got it to around 4+ghz subzero temps

Used to have this 3.2ee on a MACH2

4Ghz is about the max @1.9v if I remember.

I was disappointed bythis chip, scored around 1500 more points in 3dm2001se compared to my 3.2 Prescott @ 4.3Ghz - best score with 6800gt 27152mks versus 25800 with presott

Prescott then trounced the EE in every other test (CustomPC benchmark, superpi 32m). I use to do a lot of encoding too and the EE just was not up to the task at hand.

My Lanparty Pro875B could not hand the exstra power the 2mb cache demanded and I managed to blow 2 up before I decided enough was enough.

I could not justify the addtional cost for such a small improvement in just one area so I sold it on ebay (made £20 too ).

Temps were around same as prescott too as it ran at much higher voltages.

I have to agree with Mav... Although I saw Dazboots 3.4EE @ 4.6ghz which was pukka... but my lowly 3.2EE would do a max of 4.0ghz in my Mach II GT.

I really didnt think the Chip was half as good as my 3.4c SL793... that was flying at 4372mhz in only a Vapochill PE.

Wothout doubt Id recommend you left the EE alone and went for (if it has to be 478) a 3.4E (D0 or E0).... under a Mach II GT ive seen them go in excess of 5ghz
