295gtx red light

Alright guys sure there has been many posts fo rthis before but well i'll give it a try,

got a gtx295 gainward dual pcb....

k right the thing powers up and i get a green light for about 2-3 seconds but after that red light of doom and no post with fan running at 100%

not a psu issue as i have tried another 295 that my friend has lent me and no problems whatsoever so i has got to be the card right?

But is there anything i can try to fix this? Baking? or re-appling thermal compound or is it time to let the beast rest?

way beyond that dude its out of its warranty ( besides i've opened to just to check that the sli bridge hadn't come away)
