And hmm, well, nothing I can think of. The only reason you'd plug your monitor into the motherboard, that I know of, is to use the iGPU for everything. I'm pretty sure that makes your GPU stop working, though.

I'm not sure - my mate uses the motherboard connection on his Alienware and gets his graphics card through that with nvidia optimus. Anyway, nevermind, I've never had to use it myself
