20mm thick LED fans?

Now my exams are over, I'm close to building my system

As a last minute thing, I'm considering red LED fans as opposed to blue, but that would mean changing the front fan that came with the case. Annoyingly it's a 20mm thick fan.

I would prefer an LED fan in the front, but I can settle with a non-LED fan.

My case is the CoolermasterCasecom KM-6788. Not fantastic, but it's a start for a first build.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

EDIT: My bad, the case is a Casecom >_>

You're unlikely to find one really, and at that, unlikely to find a well performing one that's only 20mm thick.

have any finances to get a new case?

performance 20 is slim with Yate Loon being the only thing i got

on a search. non-LED. the rosewill challenger is the same chassis

but rosewill doesnt have 20mm fans. this will need to be a mod for

sure to make the case acceptable for 25mm fans. are you up for

the challenge?

I wish buying a new case was as easy as that. Unfortunately not everyone's made of money

You're talking to a guy who hasn't even done his first build yet. Maybe once I've got the equipment and I'm serious about modding a case, I might. For now, I think I might either see about a better case, or see if I can tease one in. I think there might be clips on the back of the front panel for a fan, but I'm not sure how big it will have to be. Means fan noise is gonna be a b**** if one does fit.

When i say get a new case, I dont mean spending hundreds on one.

There's plenty of very good budget cases from coolermaster and antec that do a brilliant job - even for around £35

Had a little google, and found a "review" (http://forums.hexus.net/chassis-mods/177592-casecom-km-6788-review-pob.html)

Looks like a 25mm should just fit in there. You'll need what look like some 25 or 30mm long M3 screws (don't be a n00b and try that "hairband" thing he has on there) that you should be able to find for around a quid.

Failing that you could get inventive and rig up a 120 or even a 140mm fan in the optical bays. Seen it done with elastic, but something like sticky back foam tape might even do the trick. Just take your time, make it look good, and you'll be fine!

From looking at pic's and vid's it look's like you can fit a 25mm thick fan in that case so are you sure it needs to be 20mm thick?
