So now all the major releases of 2017 have all come, what's everyone's favourite games this year and what you anticipating next year?

For me my GoTY is easily Breath of The Wild. First game in years to actually pull me straight in and hold onto me until well after I finished it. Same for Sonic Mania. I am a die hard fan of the MegaDrive era Sonic and Mania just felt like the Sonic the Saturn never had.

Really looking forward to next year though; Ace Combat 7, Fire Emblem For Switch, Shin Megami Tensei V and best of all Metro Exodus. New GPU for me next year :D

I was struggeling to come up with a thing i bought this year, or a new game, i haven't bought anything other then an expansion for Guild Wars 2, soo i guess thats best for me :D

Maybe im getting to cynical but im not really looking forward to new stuff either, probably because of the disgusting state of the industry, but things might surprise me :)

Not released this year but Elite Dangerous hands down, Since the start of September I've put 400 hours into, Love every minute of it.

This years released games I've played are Shadow of War, Wolfenstein, Destiny 2, Battlefront 2, Prey, For Honor, Assassins Creed Origins, PUBG, Forza 7, Mass Effect Andromeda, Sniper Elite 4, PCARS 2, Hellblade and Ghost Recon Wildlands and none bar the last entry have done anything for me, Most hours I've played, Minus the last game mentioned, Is around an hour of each and they just don't do anything for me.

For hours played Elite Dangerous is actually tied with Ghost Recon Wildlands as that game is hella fun in co-op but is finished pretty quickly sadly.

I have put the most time into Total War: Warhammer II this year, love the game. That being said Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has been one of the most impactful releases of this year for me.

Regarding port quality, I think Middle-Earth: Shadow of War deserves mention, working well on both AMD and Nvidia hardware and with a very scalable graphical options menu.

I am hoping that we will have more quality RPG games. Or just quality games in general. I have been playing recently Undying (again). My God how today's games look thin, empty, boring, and easy compared to it. Whatever new game i play now i set difficulty to hardest, and it is still to easy. There have not been many titles for true game lovers. I want games with 17 dialog options (glory to the Baldur's Gate) not just 3 (good, neutral, evil). I just want games that give you challenge.

The only games I've played that came out this year are Ghost Recon Wildlands, PUBG, Rock of Ages 2 and Wolfenstein 2. I think they're all great, PUBG probably being my favourite. Wish I'd played some more new games, but I've simply been enjoying older games like Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League waaaaay too much lately.

For 2018, I'm really looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 3. I've been waiting for that game since I was 9 years old (so almost 12 years now). Also, From Software just teased a new game (either gonna be Shadow Tower 2, a new Tenchu game or Bloodborne 2), and I buy they put out regardless of what it is. I do hope it's BB2, but I doubt it. Red Dead Redemption 2, Metro Exodus and God of War are also on my list.
