£2000, what do i buy?

so watercooling will eventually juat die unfortunatly:(
Disagree, watercooling is niche and will continue to be, as long as PC building continues there will always be PC builders that want less noise and lower temps without sacrificing performance.
Watercooling should only really be something you consider after you have a top end system though you might find it would be pointless for you.

Maybe for a year or two.. Until every person thinks their smartphone is faster than thier computer and then pc dies.. which is all ready starting to:(

I do agree with Andrew it isn't really worth it anymore.
You can get to the limits of a 24/7 overclock on Ivybridge on air...easily. With GPUs even more so...due to voltage limits, and also as the chips aren't producing as much heat, you don't get any performance gain from going from air to water.

But, I do think people will continue to do it, as it's a hobby, and it will always have the aesthetic and quietness benefits.

I can see it lasting a lot longer if the prices come down and make it for around the same price as a pre filled loop(h100) Making it easier to put it together would help too(not that it already is). Just putting it out in mass like the h100 might improve sales i would assume.

Thats where the swiftech h220 comes in and changes the game IMO, slighty more expensive yet has the performance of a custom loop and the expandability of a custom loop yet the option of staying a prefilled loop..
