lol i didnt mean my computer is old (even though some people think so) i meant my knowledge in current technology is lacking.

Hitachi or Seagate HDD (ur shout on the size - personally I prefer a smaller 160gb drive)

Decent PSU like Silverstone Zeus/enermax Liberty/PCP&C 510 SLI/more...

Random DVD-RW

Lian Li PC65 or other model - cases it's personal

Sound: X-Fi fatality or Audigy 2 ZS

This is assuming it's a gaming PC of course

@ kempz or his part listing.. thats around 1400-1700 US. if u wanna spend the whole lot you can WC ur rig too but thats a whole nother area and dont know if u wanna get into.

Well yeah I would say splash out the rest of the budget on cooling or a cooler + a new monitor if it's needed
