[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]It was one of those times, where your girlfriend asks you for a window in the side of the case... and you agree thinking... be nice to do a square window for once... shouldn't take long...

Well I was wrong... she came to me with a design that I wouldn't even attempt to draw myself, let alone cut out of a panel

So with the design drawn on her Lian-Li PC61 Case panel, I took my jigsaw and began work...

After four hours of jigging... this was the end result:

As you can see... this is a gorgeous tribal dragons head...

...now if jigging it out wasn't bad enough... she decided she wanted all of the edges finishing properly and filed to an angle to allow the silver from the alu to edge all of the edges...

...so here's me beginning...

What patience! The design is great, but will you be able to see the important bits inside? How did you actually do it - i.e. trace onto paper or tape it? how do ya start the holes ? how long did it take? any problems? would you do it again?

Girlfriend already had the design... she just blew it up and transferred it over onto masking tape that was covering the panel...

... I started each of the sections with a pilot hole... then used a drill bit big enough to allow the jigsaw blade in.. then started jigsawing...

... took about 4 hours in total to cut out.. and I'd definitely do it again... just seeing the finished product is superb

insane??? Dedicated to my hobby I prefer :P

I enjoy doing it... so what's the harm...

It should all be fully filed by 2nite/2moro, so I will get some lit up shots for you with it on the case... should look awesome

Got another two pics here for ya... the first is showing off the edging effect after many hours filing :)...

... the 2nd shows what it looks like on the case before lighting is added...
