1900MAster + 1800Xt

Ok am getting confused and getting mixed answers.



Would it be worth it to buy a 1900 MasterCard to run with my 1800xt?



Or will the 1900 run at the lower card clock setting. If this is the case then wtf is crossfire all about. Its main selling point is being able to use your older cards with new ones

First welcome to the forums

Second if you master card is at a higher clock speed to the slave card it will run as slow as the slave card if your master card runs at a lower speed to the slave card both cards will run at the lower speed what you need to do is sell the slow one or buy a matching master card??

And the whole point is so you could get the higher output master then upgrade the slave later but yes it is pants

most x1800xts will overclock to x1900 stock speeds right? so then the difference will be negilable?
