1440P Monitor, Asus or Hazro ?

On the look out for a new monitor and I was looking at the Asus PB278Q 27" but then spotted the Hazro HZ27WiE 8-Bit 27" 1440P which when put side by side with the Asus I could not see a difference in picture quality at all and to boot it's £180 cheaper and looks sexy as hell with a gorgeous looking glass panel on the front.

With the Asus one are you really only paying the extra £180 for the "Pro" colour range, Card reader and versatile stand ? *Stand doesn't matter as I will be putting a custom VESA desk mount on to it* Because apart from those 3 things I honestly can't see where the extra money is going.

The screens themselves are pretty much all made by LG or Samsung so will most likely be exactly the same.

However, the cheaper companies such as Hazro and DGM will tend to use lower graded panels from LG/Samsung, whereas the higher graded panels will be put into screens such as the Apple cinema displays, the Dell screens, and most likely the Asus ones too along with others.

This will most likely not make much of a difference - as you said if they're side by side you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. However, the chances are the Asus will be more reliable in the long run for things such as dead pixels and backlight bleeding, and if you were to have to RMA something, I'd much rather be sending it to Asus than to somewhere in Korea.

If its cheaper, its cheaper for a reason. In electronics you definitely get what you pay for. Id rather cough up the extra cash and get the better built monitor in the Asus.
