Hi peeps I would like a little advice here I currently have corsair SP120 blue led fans on my radiator I was just wondering if there are better fans performance wise on the market that would be a higher static pressure as my FX8320 can get a little hot when gaming as my graphics card has no water block on it i'm not worried about the led part tbh I have a white led strip any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated

many thanks in advance Tolemac

Don't really think so, personally I use 2 x Corsair SP120's Quiet Edition PWM fans on my H100i and never had a problem with them.

There are the new Fractal Design Venturi HP 120's though, I've got 2 myself but haven't tested them yet though.

I've gone through so many fans that I will literally throw away soon as they are just overwhelming my place and my PC is pretty much done for a few years to come.

SP's are pretty much the most favourited ones on the market, if I'm not mistaken.

the only real way is to get more rad space im afraid, But you may went to dbl check your mounting and thermal compound application 1st.
If you can feel the radiator is getting hot then id say the mounting is good and you just need more dissipation area. although 240 should be enough for the cpu so its worth a check.

I also assume that you have cleand out any fuzzies that the rad may have collected over time.

Yea I don't think swapping out your fans will do much good here. The SPs are decent. Your setup should be fine.

What temps are your cores showing?

Maybe it's time to reapply TIM?

Noctua NF F12, definitely.

However if you already have SP120 you won't get a big decrease in temps, but they're quieter.

Thanks guy's i'll take a look at the EK fan's otherwise i'll only buy white led SP120's as all the other leds in my rog are now white.Temps are ok 30C idle 52C under load but the fans are a bit noisy :) I have bought some new pipe so i'll be cleaning the loop out at some point. I have the D5 vario set to 2 and the radiator is getting hot I use EK ectotherm TIM on my cpu as its just as good as NT-H1 but half the price so thats fine. I could go 280mm radiator but i'm saving to change platforms over to Intel atm so need to buy new CPU and Mobo

cheers guy's

What voltage have you got your fans running at? If it's 12v then that would explain the noise. Definitely try them at 7v or 5v. Temps probably won't rise as much as you think and you have some headroom.

well i've ordered the EK PWM fans now and I wanted to swap out the blue leds anyway seeing as all the other leds in my rig are now white other than the Vapor X but thanks for the tip :)
