What is the choice of 1155 board of there. Tell me which one you would choose and why. It can be the best for the money, overclocking, gaming, etc.

MSI Z77 MPower. It's cheap, it looks great, it's manually validated to be overclock-stable in extreme thermal conditions, and it's based off of the forum favourite Z77A GD65.

not alot of information to render a purchasing descision with..
sandy or ivey bridge?

if i had to buy an inexpensive 1155 for ivey on a budget MSIZ77-G45 small 4.0OC
for fast gaming and OC MSI Z77-GD55 for 4.3OC
raw OC capabilities MPower, Maximus 5, UP7

didnt care for ASRock for sandy bridge, giggy is meah, MSI was better than giggy
and asus is king-power for sandy.

depending on if needing features, MSI has that in spades. buy only what you
need and not packaged with a higher price tag.

ivy bridge definitely. I am just curious on people thoughts on boards.

so what would be the difference between ASUS Maximus V Rampage and the MSi MPower. With there being such a big difference in cost, do you really get more out of it.

asus maximus v extreme/formula (1155) rampage (2011).

MSI approach to market strategy is how. give more for less, pretty much.
the V extreme is rightously more, but has more four GPU card support, dual NIC,
more phase power control, the formula in more comparable to MPower as they
support dual GPU, single NIC and similar power control. the reat is features of
software and marketing.
depending on your abiilities to getting the nth out of system, the asus is the one.
if cost conscience, the MPower is feature rich and has an easy color scheme.

MITX - Z77 Stinger - Packed full of features and looks awesome!

MATX - G1 Sniper M3 - Just got one and it's got a lot of nice features for the price and the looks are just amazing :p

ATX - Z77 MPower - All of the reasons that others have given
