1090T Voltages

Hey Guys...

I have had a stable overclock on my 1090T but at 1.45V on the CPU and anything below that I seem to get a BSOD. However, Tom has done a review and got an overclock on something around 1.375 which sounds more reasonable. I've been experimenting and am finally stable but what other voltages could I change from auto to try and get a stable overclock on the CPU @ 4GHz ?

^^ Options available to me ^^

I don't know what your memory specs are but I have a very stable (IBT max; 5 runs) 1090T system with 1600 9-9-9-24-31 CR1 with 1.65v. Your motherboard may also play a part. You also say you are concerned (rightly so) with the cpu voltage. When I need the 4G setup, I set the my cpu voltage for 1.5. It never uses that much under load. 1.42-1.46 is where it hangs during benchmarking. I've only ever seen it use the 1.5 at idle!

Other notes that pertain to your question: 1. Leave the NB/HT freqs and voltages alone. If you have a good Mobo, the auto bios settings will take care of them. 2. Make sure your PSU is up to the challenge. Otherwise, have fun!

I run my 1090T at 1.42V at 4.0 completely stable 24/7. With H50 on it it does usually sit around 34-35 idle. I also run my ram at 7-8-7-20 at 1.65V and NB frequency at 3000Mhz with NB/CPU at 1.4V. Maybe you just got a bit more demanding chip? I guess as long as temperatures are right I wouldn't worry about a bit more of extra voltage.

Edit: And I think it's a Crosshair IV so it shouldnt be a motherboard issue.

Are you sure that's safe ? In the Crosshair IV BIOS, when I set the CPU/NB voltage to 1.4v it goes into the "red/crazy" voltage.
