Hi,

i have my multi at 20 and the fsb 200 the core voltage at 1.5

ram is at what its meant to run from the sticker on it LLC is disabled but i cant get a stable over clock even though at 19 multi and 1.47v i can get 3.8Ghz stable. i can boot into windows but any kind of stress test it BSOD.

everything thing to do with the NB is at auto except the volt which is bump up 3 times from stock.

my cpu core temps are 33 idle.

You TRIPLED the nothrbridge voltage?

That isn't good

Yeah I had that problem with mine, using the multiplier alone doesn't work, you need to put the bus to >210Mhz then use the multi to build up the remainder. Also 1.5v is WAY too high. I have 3.8Ghz @1.41 and is very very stable.

no i meant i did 3 increments up from stock not 3x stock XD yea 3.8 is stable on that voltage as weell on mine its weird that as soon as you try to go past 3.8 nothing works.

i dont know what to believe on the voltages i manually type in 1.56v but in the HW monitor in BIOS it says 1.50v i know this is two high i dont run it at these voltages but its strange that even if you bump the voltages up that much from a stable over clock to just get 200Mhz extra and its still unstable.

Seems like we both have worse for wear chips

maybe i can get 4Ghz using my sig specs but it throttles down the multi when it nears 58c on cpu

still doesnt solve the mystery of the bios disagreeing with itself over the voltage.

I only use PC Probe which came with my mobo and has been pretty accurate. Have you tryed turbo @4Ghz? I haven't yet but maybe you could give that a shot

yes just BSOD its putting my multi at 8x now when at 1.48v and 19 multi i hate this chip and MB useless

yes bios turbo core cool and quiet are all disabled

i have my multi at 20 now and i can run prime and no BSOD but even thought the voltage i typed in is 1.48 it says in cpu-z that its 1.55 and when it reaches 1.56 it drops the multi to 8 and the voltage to 1.4 as if to stop the cpu from damaging its self but what i want to know is how can i trust this MB at all if i set voltages in the bios and its pumping out LOTS more V that what i want it to.

The max (according to AMD) Vcore is 1.55, so if you're hitting 1.56v then chances are the motherboards overcurrent protection is kicking in. Don't trust cpu-z, use a real time monitoring tool

what tool is that can you link the download please.

i want to know why the dam stupid MB is putting 1.56v though it when its set to 1.48.

cool on mine with pc prob is only goes from around 1.43 -1.46 which i suppose isnt bad that idle and load. cpu-z say different.

however i still typed in 1.38 in bios but i expect that is LLC kicking in.

I dont think i ruined my cpu as it only went over 1.55v once but i shut it down straight away.
