Hi,

Im trying to get 4.2Ghz stable on my 1090T its windows stable at 1.52v at 21 multi 200fsb ram timing set manually. temps are around 49-50C on load but after 2 mins prime crashes but not a BSOD.

Whats the safe voltage i can put through it?

I got 4.1Ghz stable on 1.50-1.51v and cpu gets to 59C after hour of prime is this ok or should i put it down to 4Ghz.

.1 of a GHz is petty, and will not be noticeable, unless your are a pro-bencher

take it down to 4GHz

take it down and lower that voltage lol I wuldnt dp 1.5v for anything but benching and def not 24/7 use.

I have 24/7 voltages of 1.5. After extensive tests with my 1090t it seemed as though i got the s*** end of the stick, meaning needing more voltages to keep stable. I was only able to hit 4ghz at 1.5 volts. I think it might be because my MOBO is a crosshair III 790FX board. But my idle temp is 26c and my highest i have ever seen is 43c. But i cant even imagine 1.6v being to much, after all the 1090t ships with a 1.475v!? But at 1.5v its more of whether your mobo will take it.

if you got idle temps and load temps like that you should be fine. put the volts up but if you change chips every year or so shouldnt be a problem. i got mine clocked shy of 4ghz but when i take it over its hungry for volts.
