1080ti/monitor combo??

Hey guys,

I hope this is in the right area!

So I've recently done some upgrading of the rig, most recent is the strix 1080ti. My build is a 4790k @ 4.7, 16gb 2400 veng ram, rm1000.

I am still currently running 1080p... I know :/

The advice I'm after is will my system with a predator 1440p 165Hz monitor run my gpu at 99% constant gpu usage? I'm struggling to sink £600 into a monitor if I can't get it to run properly and it is bugging me.

I say this because say I put bf1 to 1440p dsr and with the res scale set to 100% the usage seems still not right. Sits around 90% and getting around 100fps? If that makes sense. Cpu usage normally sits at 70% and Gpu anywhere between 88 and 99.

Any advice or if you guys have the same set up please let me know! I want to change my monitor to make real use of the card

Also if there are any thoughts on predator 4k please say so

I have the same CPU @4,5 GHz and a Asus 1440p 165Hz monitor, and it hammers my GPU But i dont play BF1. Wildlands and PlayerUnknowns battleground is what i have been playing most lately. Gonna game som Project Cars now, so i will take a look in that game.

Well that's good to hear! I to play battlegrounds, great game. Runs pretty awful on my current 1080 monitor.

Forgot to turn on OSD But going from 24" 1080p to 27" 1440p is the best thing i have done in a long time. I think its the sweet spot. I sat next to a body at a LAN, he had the 27" 4k display. He have sold the 4K and bought one like mine. 4k is not worth it jet.
