OK so there are now two versions. 95w and 125w. However, you can only seem to get the 95w OEM.

Is the cooler on the retail one the same as the 940 has?

I don't usually like buying OEM.. 125w should be fine as a TDP as Asrock have said no 140w.

I google shopped the 1055t 95w and it's a fiver more than the 125 and only OEM, so I guess it must be brand new or something?

Either way I will need to get it from Scan, as they offer that Scansure thing whereby if something doesn't work, even if it's just you it doesn't work for (or you break it or spill water on ETC) you can send back.

I'm not 10000% confident that my board will run it. It has the bios to, and it should do, but I don't want to risk £150 on it.

not sure if the hexcores have the same cooler but the phenom one will handle the 95w

Well obs I wouldn't use it, but was just wondering. I really don't like buying OEM cpus. You only get a fraction of the warranty and no sticker ETC. If it was much cheaper? Oh deff.
