Really? Which 3 series is it?

Its an 03 3 series. All BMW's might be pretty much the same but I've sat in it a couple of times and I'm like shit, can only just get in! Everything just seems to be in your face, and the handbrake has that arm rest thing over it so thats awkward as f to get hold of.

Prefer a more open space like my Peugeot! :D

Really nice car overall though, completely mint.

Ah right - I personally find my Bro's Audi A4 way more enclosed than my 3 series.

But I suppose compared to your car it is quite small on the inside.

Which 3 series have you got? :)

Basically this one, 2010 318i.

Come out really well!

Was that all elbow grease or did you use a rotary?

first picture is mostly mud and the middle part is silver paint from the other car. The second picture, I first wiped it down with a damp cloth then sprayed it with soapy water and wiped it down with a clay bar and removed most of it, then polished it using autoglym polish and polished it by hand maybe did 2 to 3 minutes wiping it down.

How's the car holding up in general? You've got a 1.9JTD in that, right?

1.9td not jtd, mine doesnt have electronic injection. Car is running fine, just replaced the thermostat this week as it got stuck open, bit of a headache for an amateur wannabe mechanic (lol), but I did it one day without any leaks and/or chopped fingers. Other than that, It's running fine, nothing leaks, engine noise is a bit louder than normal but its always been that way and I take good care of it, I serviced every serviceable part it has since I owned it, all filters/oils/fluids/starter motor/injectors and never had any trouble.

One should note that I spent way too much money on it, well its the life of messing with cars, but now its almost ready how I want it, just need to get hold of abarth front bumper and side skirts and spray them to be 99% ready :)

No I understand fully :). I'm hoping to start messing with my next car. My corsa is just too far gone for me to mod it. Things are just about working on it and somehow I doubt my amature DIY skills would improve it in any way.

I was asking as I've been looking at an Alfa 147 which has a a 1.9JTD in it. My family have had A couple of Multiplas with the same engine but due to weight I can't really judge its performance.

I'd love to get a 147 as my next car, If i manage to get a decent job I'm looking for a golf mk6 or mk7 if the budget allows it ( a gti version if the price is right ).

Well performance isn't really there, mine is the 75 hp version and does 0-60 in a mind boggling 16 seconds lol and gets stuck at about 120 km/h. I managed a 140 max but on a really long road. Handling is quite nice, and parts are quite easy to get hold of.

I see this as my first car, not as the car that needs to be perfect, I learn the most that I can on it, like mechanical stuff, painting, bodywork, bleeding brakes, replacing oils/fluids and filters and how stuff works in general. Better than learning on a newer car that everything you touch can give an error code lol
