Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Block fitted fine. Bolts were a bit tight through the acrylic though.

I suspect they're 3mm holes with the 3.5mm TR bolts.

I also made up a new standalone 4 pin, or overclocking is out. That's all braided and fitted and I had to rewire the entire RGB system but that's all running now.

The luckiest bit was getting that u.2 plug through that hole. Of that didn't fit I'd have lost that drive.

Gotta finish the drain tomorrow and clean and do some assembly work also. Then when the fp extensions arrive I can start building.

But yeah, did all of the niggly fiddly crap today.

One thing that did make me laugh. I spent £12 on that Hydronaut. "Does 4 applications". Yeah, not on a bloody threadripper it don't! I just about managed one go.

I found the applicator a bit poop tbh. Much more spreading success with a blob and a good ol' credit card spread.

All that lovely hardware, nice going Alien!

Thanks dude. Gonns chill today as I got two hours sleep last night. Things tend to break and snap when I'm tired lol.

No rush.

Yeah it wasn't ideal and I still ended up getting it on my hand and trousers ffs.

Not buying anything kryonaut again. Will stick to Arctic or noctua.

Kryonaut is fantastic. Dont let the applicator put you off. But you are experienced enough to know that there are better ways to apply it of course. One brush of the applicator i realised it sucks and was messy as hell. So popped out some old ID card.

The trick with TG Kryonaut is to put it in a water tight food bag and then put it into a mug of hot water, Leave it for 10 minutes and then splodge a bit onto the CPU and spread it with something the size of a credit card, The spreader included is a bit naff.

TG's Kryonaut really is the best TIM on the market outside liquid metal stuff, It's worth the effort.

Tbh dude I found kryonaut crap. All hype, meh results.

Maybe when used as intended (DICE or LN2) it's ok but for general use it's a bit crap.

This is Hydronaut for water cooled rigs so maybe it's better suited but it's totally not worth the money. Even if it was incredible it's just too expensive for one use.

It's a case of something being popular because of the guy who made it. Kinda like mayhem's. Crap products but sold in droves.

hmm well I could dispute that since I found after swapping from Metal Tim to this, it was only a couple of degrees warmer. To me that is an impressive paste.

7700k that is idling at 25C and peaking at 56.5 @ 4.7 full load is good in my eyes. I never had that anywhere close with arctic silver. My loop was different then, but was still 2x 480s dissipating the watts.

But not gonna argue. Everyone will have different results since loops, and setups are so unique.

I used to use Arctic ceramique, so this had big boots to fill. Kryonaut on my CPU is worse. It did a half decent job direct to die on the Vega 64 though.

Thing is of this sod doesn't post I'm out £12 which is too much.

I've got some mx5 on standby.

Noctua paste is amazing. Which is what I'll get next time I need any.

Finally arrived in the store for pickup... damn EK took forever to send it to my local store.

You can almost guess what I will do with the RGB part of it :P

Nice! I really was debating between this and the Targaryen chair. OF COURSE, I bought a SecretLabs chair and 5 weeks later they released these special editions. lol

Oh dear :(. This will be my first SecretLabs chair, I have heard so many good things about them. Plus i'm getting fed up of buying ones off Amazon and they break after a few months.

Says the bloke with an X399 Taichi lol :D

Go DICE. That's gonna be a good drag PC (drag race, not queen)

Nice to see pieces dropping below stupid on the new Ryzen also.

Drag Queen might also apply. Don't you remember his RGB rainbow youtube video with pride soundtrack included?
