Stuff The Team Can Use

Hi Guys,

We had a similar thread at BT which helped from time to time where we would post links to items we could use to bench with, online deals, kit we could use etc. So if you see something a member could use, post the link here!

Probably best to stick this thread =)

erm... what?

Never seen those kind of voltages on RAM before!

775 ddr3 was those volts dudio

So was AM3 actually its X58 and P55 that brought in 1.65v

Ive only been back into the swing of things around 18 months or so and before then it was back in the days of P3/P4 CPU's when I was last involved

Even though it's meant for S775 mainly, I was running these last night on H55 with my i3 540. 1.7v and i was running Super Pi 32m at 6-6-5-12 @ around 1450MHz.

Fantasic buy! Offer expires in less than 15hrs. I suggest you buy some!

You'll love them!

Here's some quick Super Pi 32M stable testing last night on H55 w/ i3 540.

1400MHz @ 5-5-5-12 w/ 2.0v

1600MHz @ 6-6-6-12 w/ 2.0v

Not bad for a £25 Kit! Gotta to love D9JNL's!

I posted a DICE pot here last week and I bought it. Not for me, but for one of you.. free!

I will open this to everyone here but personally I'd like to give it to someone who will actually use it each month and not just store it away. An active bencher who will get even more boints for the team using Dry Ice. You can use my account too. Approx £30 for 10KGs.

Few things you need to know. There are no threads or bolts. So you'll need to take a trip to B&Q to buy some for it. Secondly, it only supports S775 & S1366. Tbh thats all you really need for a lot of hardware boints at the BOT. Lastly, there is no backplate, so you'll need to use your coolers backplate if it works, if not, you'll need to ghetto mod something lol.

Pictures..

So who wants it and will actually use it?

id love a crack with that mate, but tbh i would need some kind of crash course in insulating the mobo and im not 100% sure if the 2 775 chips i have worth ocing atm warrents it.

do you think the mount round it could be drilled to fit am3?

Tom I think drinking LN2 in Istanbul has fried your brain

.

I hoped to go back to 775 benching this month as I no longer have SB.

As for the insulating, I have Brenden from bench tech to walk me through that.

Ooo chilling that q6600 of mine

Read this guide http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=224911

If you want to do it right then get a tin of plastic paint and start cover up the places you dont want to spray cpu socket, ram dimms and pci-e ports ect.

You can do a full weekend of benching without any insulation if you give the board a good thick coat of plastic paint.

Its yours if you want it. Gotta use it though! Drill what you want. Pletty of decent guides for insulation at XS.
