Ah yeah sorry that was the research I was referring too, I got the wrong oxbridge. So that 68% figure is still an un-achievable, theoretical figure, based on an assumption that only 1 in 1000 people develop symptoms (And we know that the real figure must be higher bc of Lombardy), but yeah I think that research was more meant to push the govt. into widespread testing ASAP, and fortunately it seems to have worked, because the reality still might not be a world away from that.

I had something in January. I've not had any chest complaint for 8 years since I gave up smoking, on contrast to getting bronchitis every winter. I had it for two weeks, thought I was better then got a second wave. My aunt was sick with a bad chest for a month.

So who knows? The rate it spreads and passes around it can't have just started in February.

Have to admit I've had a consistent minor chest pain into my third week now, but for all I know until there's testing that could just be my anxiety.

I've had phantom symptoms too dude. I started coughing a bit then realised that it was just my new eliquid. Happens when I change flavours.

Fear is the mindkiller.

She said she had actually been tested in the ambulance, I now know this to be a lie as paramedics in my area do not have testing kits and patients are only being tested if admitted to hospital. So she will have been told to isolate for 7 days which means the rest of the house would have to also isolate but for 14 days.
She is certainly well enough to be shouting at her kids today and the man of the house decided it was ok to take the dog out to the local park.
Its one thing to be poorly but to actually lie and tell others you have been swab tested is deplorable.
Makes a mockery of those who have died or are genuinely suffering.
I have a close friend who has been declared suspected via 111 and is now in isolation

Yes I was worried, as a veteran of the gulf conflict in 90/91 I am still ill from the cocktail of experimental they gave us and catch even the slightest of colds with ease.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is actually the case.
I work in Pharmacy at the moment and the amount of people I've had buying dry cough mixtures the past few months is astounding. Was all the same story too: "Been to the doctor, they had a look, said it was viral and would be gone within a few weeks."

None of the pharmacists I've worked with have experienced any winter like the last one with all these viral infections going around.

All being said, this panic is killing me at work, we've just had someone go on 12 week isolation so I'm pulling 50-60 hour weeks at the moment with at least triple the workload
