Small talk & Chit chat

My daughter loves watching Thomas.

Missus puts anything Thomas on for her but I only ever put the original on.
I did something similar for my nephew. He loves Thomas so I got him the classic boxset for christmas last year. It's the original or bust, haha.

Sorry to be a bit of a bug with the questions everyone, but is anyone familiar with the software in this Humble bundle? I'm thinking of getting it but I'm a bit apprehensive whether it's any good or not:

Well tested this Ray tracing shadows in World of Warcraft and boy is it a waste of time for a 10fps hit.

Its basically softer shadows and nothing more. Not worth it in an mmo. Perhaps its better tuned in the new expansion but so far.. I see nothing special.

Finally installed my SilverStone SST-ARM12B monitor arm, It's amazing how much more desk space I have, No more banging my mouse into the monitor stand ^_^

Still using the replacement Corsair "gaming" chair until I move then it will go bye bye and I'll start using the much much better Herman Miller Embody I got a while ago.

Wondering if anyone in the know can clear something up for me, I see on Facebook a fair amount of old articles reposted by the likes of PCGamer, Corsair etc... some over 5 years old, Does someone in control of that specific social media account go and get their old articles and repost them or is there an option on Facebook to do this with older content like cycle it ? If it's the former that just seems very strange.

To be fair you can get modern cut carbon fibre sheet for anywhere from £250 to £1000 per square meter nowadays depending on thickness and type and that, surely a backplate would only be like 0.05 square meters(~£13-54 raw costs), surely we can't be that far off some manufacturer using a bit of real carbon fibre on a top end model.

My card :D Every time I look over all I see is a chonky McLaren with that lovely carbon fibre ^_^

Side note, I just went to play CODMW 2019, Last played it around 2 weeks ago doing the single player, Not a fan of multiplayer, Even though I uninstalled everything I could through the options menu it now has a 40GB update, Activision need to stop with these ludicrous updates.

The 2080ti trio back plate was metal for me, I guess they went plastic to claw back some lost revenue due to Nvidias ever increasing chip costs.

So i have been playing Godfall more recently. Must admit, I like it. Beautiful graphics and details. Its very well optimised.

Armor and weapon designs are some of the best I have seen. It reminds me of Darksiders I, meets Infinity Blade meets Shadows of Mordor.

that said, its a little grindy and I do see its taken ideas from many games. But lets see what end game is like because im not there yet. I would have liked to enjoy 3 party teams of people who were NOT in your friends list though.

Annoying that I cant group with random people for some good hack n slash mayhem with magic.

Found myself an exe to png icon creator.. love it. I can now set all my icue profiles with the game exe icon instead of the generic icue look now. Looks so much better :D

wondered for ages where you were supposed to get the png files for icons. I guess many of you already knew, but it was a new discovery for me.

If it makes you feel better I didn't even know this was a thing and it's tempting to explore this

it was just my OCD into learning what icue could do, and for a long time I saw you could assign an icon but when I navigated to the folder to select the exe file, it was always hidden.

I used BeCyIconGrabber its a free safe little tool and allows you to create a png from what ever Icon/exe you want.

Sorry Alien I'm not trying to tell you what to say, and I don't think you meant any harm, I'm not trying to "tell you off" or anything and you always have a choice to ignore me, just I don't think it does any harm on these topics to use language that isn't racially charged, I just don't feel this is as comparable to a typical insult like in that email, or even the worst swearing you can think of, I know some travellers and their feelings on this are pretty unanimous, it's their version of the "N word", and not really people who would typically be easily offended.

I know there's still a lot of normalisation around the discrimination towards them in Europe though and it's only recently though that many nomadic groups/travellers have been recognised scientifically and socially as minority ethnic groups so there's not quite the same awareness or stigma around it as there is to other racially charged language, but from my experience it's just as hurtful to those it refers to as other racially charged historical terms.

That is why, personally I think it's a term that I don't have need in using any further, lots of other words can do a similar job without potentially upsetting some people over their ethnic heritage

I'm a responsible person mate. I don't mean any harm or offence to any one. If they take it? that's their problem not mine.

Like I said, for years and years I blamed myself for everything. That is how liberals want it. They want to get in your head and control you. That is how passive aggression works. A constant threat, a constant looming fear of upsetting someone.

I knew lots of them when I grew up. They weren't very pleasant. They ran a chop shop from their "camp" that they had taken over in what used to be a council depot storage facility for street lamps and etc. Made a big mess, beat people up, shot people with air rifles (me included) and generally were best avoided.

They can be called travellers now all they like. The fact is that most of them don't travel anywhere.

I find it hard to believe that groups of people who belt seven shades out of each other with their bare hands would be so easily offended.

I'm not against their culture. That is up to them. I had no problems being called a "gorger" or whatever other insults they had about me living in a house.
