Small talk & Chit chat

It's going to take a while for them to recover from eveything Intel are behind and amd are not going to stop moving ahead why would they slow down.

I don't feel sorry for them it's there own doing and I heard rumors they are buying up there own stock to hide the decline, i know Intel will survive and still sell a bucket load of CPU's but tbh the mind share is getting lost and amd are gaining market share.

Not really sure what will have to happen to do a full turn around but some of the shady benchmark practises and marketing needs to change or do they not realise word gets around quickly these days.

I think one thing is every new chip needs a new board isn't helping them amd done well on the whole thou I know they let some of the threadripper buyers down somewhat but on the whole on that stand point amd are fairing much better.

More competition in the GPU space is needed competition is always good but Intel are not even close unless some huge changes happen I know they need to start somewhere but that DG1 isn't the start they needed :D

Not uneducated, just typical old financial analysts, sure they know very well what they're doing, these guys have clear vested interests and a lot to gain from their market con tricks, investment in this industry has only a latent relationship with merit, best to steer clear on any topic imo. These guys have been doing this stuff with AMD for years, it's just becoming slowly more painfully obvious how far from reality they are.

Division 2 major expansion coming.. and its taking us back to NYC! released 3rd March.
I am actually pretty stoked for it.

Yup. I'm waiting for the release of RPG 2.0 which we now know is March 3rd and I'm gonna start a completely fresh game with all the new stuffs.

Came across KovaaK 2.0: The Meta on steam. An aim trainer. Was super loved by the community and was planning on getting but I guess a few weeks ago they were bought out and a new company released the v2 of it and angered everybody... so came across this new aim trainer called AimLab. Free also!

It is freaking awesome. Can import your game which sets up the settings as if you were playing say Destiny 2. Just copy your settings over and should be identical in feel.

I don't have much desk space, so I cannot get the full-arm movement. This means I rely on quick wrists, and I hope this can help. Played around with it and just playing for a while I get progress after each task. Just gotta get a routine. Play 30-60mins a day and hopefully improve myself. They have accuracy tasks, speed, etc. Can create your own tasks or weapons.

My only issue is the default weapons have huge scopes on them which makes seeing the right hand side of the screen a bigger challenge.

Got my Alienware x51 today. Boots to the windows recovery screen so looks like a dead HDD as I suspected.

Cheapest one in the UK. I'll bung an SSD and HDD in once I've given it a good clean.

Well never thought I'd say it but, really enjoying the Oculus quest and VR gaming, but it really drags you in looking forward to getting it setup for Elite and x-plane, once my son gets over playing Vader Immortal damn oculus giving that game free :).
But I'm sold on VR gaming and hope bigger and better games to come.

Starting to hear rumblings on the net about covid.

Tech yes city (Aus) reports soaring prices on GPUs.

Linus says that after this Chinese holiday they massively ramp performance (fact) but are not (OBS) meaning stock is diminishing fast. Apple are only taking "when we get it orders" and so on.

Nand prices have dropped so much that ssds are taking over. Even in server land. However they too are being made at 15% capacity not 100% that is usual for this time of year.

Shipping companies are being affected the worst, two guys instead of hundreds and it's not improving soon. It's only getting worse.

What I'm saying is if you're buying GPUs ram or ssds this whole year buy them now. Not out of panic. Heck, even for Justin.

Because if this continues there will eventually be none.

While this all seems true, a significant portion of factories re-opened a few days ago(Or earlier) and the number of new cases reported has noticeably waned, China's economy has already started to uptick again from the return to work(Over 60% of Chinese in major cities have now returned to work), and the larger effects of this shouldn't go far beyond April/May (Depending on the length of a given supply line anyway).

I don't know about the shipping side, very well could be an issue, but we have stable freight train lines from Bejing to London/Barcelona and so on nowadays that last I heard wasn't anywhere near capacity to pick up any slack(Albeit at a price, and only relating to Europe).

Apparently whilst production is going back up shipping is not. That's the issue.

I guess Aus has it worst because they're so many miles away from every one.

So a friend of mine who works in Italy messaged me today and he has Corona even though he's been isolated in his house which is out in the country with zero human contact for the last 6 weeks, He's a bit of a hermit, But somehow he has been confirmed to have it by a disease unit that came out to test him.

I find this whole thing extremely fishy.

Might be a hermit, but perhaps he took a bus something or some public transport and touch a handle or support rest etc?

I just learned we have had an outbreak here in Oslo now, at the hospital eye division.

Nope, He hasn't left the house in six weeks hence why he's confused as to why he has it with zero human contact, No one's visited and he hasn't left the house, No human except him has been in his house.

When the spanish flu spread it came via the mail, it wouldn't be out of the norm for it to happen the same way, i've looked into this virus a lot the last few weeks we best hope it doesnt get worse we need spring and summer to kill it off at least until next winter when maybe they are more prepared for it.

Very good point, Although I think after the main spread of this disease stops the whole world needs to demand that China clean up its act, The amount of deadly diseases that come out of that country every few years is beyond a joke.
