Hi Tom

I wish I had that setup. Dam thats $2400 plus tax in monitors here in California. I wonder if the twin MSI 1070 Gaming X cards in my H440 build could drive this.

I bow to your Massive Setup!

This is a lofty setup. Thanks for sharing it with us. (Now, if I could just win the lottery!)

First off, I have nothing towards this, so don't take it the wrong way... I just gotta ask, how come you always (atleast often) start your post with "Hi Tom"? ^_^

Secondly, we all wish for monstorious stuff... Like some wish for an Lamborghini, but probably never will afford one. Or would have to sell certain body parts to afford one

That left screen sucks bum. :D Damn, that would be a crazy daily driver setup! Fallout 4 would look spectacularly bad in a res that huge. :)

EDIT: that is some wicked 3-screen wallpaper BTW! Noice!

Man that's impressive. I think I'll stick with three screens for a while yet. For racing and flight it's amazing immersion. Just wish I could stretch the vertical to my fourth monitor up top. My limited VR (Oculus DK2) was nice but made me a bit motion sick. Individual results may vary so it's nice to have options.

Still seems like we're at least another generation away from high res high refresh rates being playable for less than silly money. Well on more than one panel at a time at least.

We can all dream tho :)

All though I'd love to be able to have this type of setup, I know it would't work for me being virtually blind in my right eye it would mean I'd have to turn my head to look on the right screen, same reason a 4k monitor would be wasted I'd not notice the difference

I hope this doesn't come across as ignorant or offensive - I just closed my right eye for a while sitting in front of a triple screen setup - admittedly they're all 24" and I'm sitting at just past arms length away from them.

I can still see most of the right hand screen when I'm looking directly at the middle one, which is where I focus when driving or flying etc.
I'd say about 90-95% clearly visible. The bridge of my nose kind of arcs around the right hand bezel of the far monitor and no I can't read anything but the immersion part of the experience is still there. For driving games I'm sure you'd still find it awesome.

Mind you it's only a slight turn of the head to focus on the right panel completely.
I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you get the chance.

how do you get g-sync 144 hz in all monitors if the strix card only has 2 displayport connections?, as far as i know you need all monitors connected to the same card to get nvidia sorround and g.sync needs displayport to work

my only thing that I would have liked to see is some Triple 1080p benchmarks as well.. cause that's a much cheaper way to get into it and could be used as a gauge to see if a single 1080 could push that much and u could avoid SLI game support probs

This was a great review my only advise NOT criticism is to help make it more engaging would be to run an FPS counter in a corner somewhere as people want to know what you are getting live as the game runs just to see how big of a fluctuation there is

I agree with this regarding the live FPS counter.

Nice but obsolete - the LG 38UC99W is where it's at now. A single curved screen is so much more elegant than 3 flat screens.

BTW: Where is the Titan XP review Tom? Did NV not send you a sample?

Yes because 38" is clearly going to give you the same screen space as three 27" screens.

He has a point though. I would prefer one big nice piece of real estate over three neighbouring structures with a bezel inbetween.

Its all personal preference in the end. What i would not call it however is obsolete. Triple setups are going to be with us for a very long time especially with so many simulators still being made.

TBH they both come with issues any way. UW is not 100% supported and in some games needs to be hacked in making things look odd.

I had a triple screen set up a few years ago and it was sufficient enough to put me off forever. However if I was less fussy and less sensitive I would gladly have it again and the bigger the better really. I loved the experience when it worked (see also - Dirt 2 and Dirt 3) but hated it when it didn't (see also Fallout 3 and Fallout NV).

Shame really.

I finally got around to watching the whole vid.. Daym! triple 27" is pure eye candy, I really must sort out some better ratio wallpapers though, that 4K one is all squiffy and made me cry.
