Black and Orange Z77 Switch 810

Hello 0c3dr'z,

Been a while since ive done a project log, not very long since ive done a project tho, my apologies

well, ill give you a rundown:

Switch 810-glossy black

3x rads 1-420 and 2 280's... 420 up top and BOTH 240s in the front.

koolance 370 cpu on either my 2700k or my 3570k, unsure which.

ek fullcovers on 2 gtx 670 dcii's

technofront single bayres "eagle"

swiftech 2xddc pump black

32gb mushkin blackline 1866 1.35v

seasonic 860 Platinum psu

orange bitfenix alchamy cables

orange mayhems pastel

mix of orange and black cougar 140mm fans...(have a trick to share on how to eliminate the vibrations when setup in "updraft" mode!!!)

samsung840 ssd 128g mushkin 120g ssd and a plextor m5p 256g ssd....

black 1/2 in fittings......

ohno mobo almost forgot.....ASRock formulaOC Z77

ok....so lets start with the front radiator bank.....fan modding

with open fans in the middle im going for a "Zalman cnps12" type setup....enough to move the air through...and actually when all 6 fans spin, the middle set actually seems to pull more air in...wierd

so the sheens are off a 'lil, iknow i know....it's what i had tried to paint it but satin is too glossy and flat

is too flat.....seems like im stuck unless i paint'em all.....

connections dont line up, so direct fit is out, in comes the 90deg rotaries from koolance

case modz.....

score and snap is my preferred method of op....

lil sandpaper and that'l'do

remove the top 5 1/4 vertical guides

and the botom of the 5 1/4 bay.....

and i can finally mount the rad bank!!!

ill post some more tomorrow ill leave you with a messy shot.....

ahhh....couldnt wait

thanx for watching
bTx

orange themed w/c'd and modded switch 810

as creative as i am, names are not my strong point....VERY open to suggestion....

also....im a stickler for positive pressure, the fitting wont let me use a 140fan and the orange 120 just didnt look right there.....whacha guys think bout this....

obviously id hide the wires better than that.....

Id have to use all the same fans if it was me.

The cut frame fans are very unique though I like it.

How is the airflow affected with the frame removed? I'd take a guess that the air isn't directed through the rad any longer, but sideways instead. It does look pretty damn cool though.

Crazy. It'd be interesting for someone with the equipment to test this.
