Yes, and it was glorious.

New and Old.

I was given a dead monitor. I repaired the power supply, a voltage regulator had the magic smoke released from it. The NEW is it being new to me (it is an OLD monitor) and "Your Last Purchase" is the part to fix it, about $5.00 USD. Now I have two monitors. My good old Samsung has a tad better color.

The picture on the picture of the monitor is my old work bench at Inforex in 1980. A little of the stuff in the picture is a test fixture, a 45 IPS/800 BPI reel to reel tape drive. On the bench top to the right is my old Heath Kit breadboard which I still have. The poster you can partly see is Cheryl Ladd. We ended up with about 50 posters on the wall. Somewhere I have more pictures, just happened to find this one looking at an ancient hard drive in an external drive fixture.

yup its the M65. I really like, at first felt abit weird and big as my previous mouse, the kinzu V2 was smaller but i've quickly adapted to the M65 size. Glides ever so smoothly, very well built :)

Our small airport is right next to it and they had helicopter rides one year, about 8 years ago. Expensive, but my mother-in-law and wife took a ride and I gave my wife my camera and she got great shots of the festival and around our town. Made some money off them when local news agencies got in a little bidding war over them. I had planned to give them away until the offers came in, each wanted them exclusive.

If you get one of the copters with a good camera you can do aerial shots for hire.

Got these delivered a couple of days ago, waiting for PSU & some water cooling fittings to arrive then will get installed. Got three monitors for eyefinity 3D. Should be fun trying to get them set up.

alienware 24-03-13 11:15 PM

I had that monitor and absolutely loved it.

You're going to love the monitor, but hate Tridef. It's total chit :(

I switched to Nvidia in the end and installed the EDID over ride for 3Dvision. Soo much better.

ugiboy 25-03-13 02:29 AM

Does the EDID override driver allow me to run Nvidia 3D Vision on my LG Cinema 3D monitors, or is it the other way round? I am selling my GTX590's and my Acer 120Hz monitor as I have got some new 7970's.

FredEx 25-03-13 04:03 AM

Got these today.

WELL, not really, just took a picture of them today. I volunteer at a no-kill shelter and a fellow volunteer is bottle feeding these 3 girls. They are 2 weeks old. They were found outside a week ago with no mom. We are having a cold snap here, so they had to act fast and get them warm and fed.

The web page has a pic from a week ago and the one I shot today.

Thanks.

I was really surprised Judy asked me to take a picture. At this age you never know. She doesn't like to get pics when they are so young since their survival rate is still low. They are developmentally right for their age as far as the ears still folded down (3 weeks they should be up) and when they opened their eyes, but they are big for their age. That indicates they were long term, mom carried them longer than normal. Judy has 2 others that are a week younger and tiny, probably premature. She wakes up every two hours to feed them.

I debated on if I should post that pic here.

Nvidia only put in support for two passive screens. One is a Zalman, the other an Acer.

You can use the EDID over ride for the LG and it works with 3Dvision. Sadly on AMD you'll be using Tridef which isn't very good. I used to use it with my 7970.

Just had these delivered. A tablet for my daughters birthday, and some toys for me. I won't be installing them until tomorrow, as the block and, loop extras won't be here until the morning. Which is a bit of a bummer, but nowt I can do, and I would rather do everything that needs doing all together.
