It'll certainly work faster with diamond, but diamond is so rough on any blade that you'll still have to deburr and hone the blade for a razor sharp finish.

Does ceramic form a burr? I always thought burrs were a result of metal blades being malleable at the very edge causing the metal to flow into forming a burr. I’m not sure if ceramics have that malleability?

A burr forms when sharpening really anything. Doesn't have much to do with malleability, it just takes longer with ceramic because its harder. Sharpening any point for knives will result in the same thing, raising a burr, the material will result in ease and time consumption. Like titanium is very very very hard to sharpen. Harder than ceramic, despite not being as hard a material. It's just so incredibly abrasive resistant. Even some tool steels like O1 tool steel is hard to sharpen because it's rockwell rating is over 60 usually. the plus side is these materials hold an edge for a long time.

Pretty much finished all of my various tubes of thermal pastes so decided to get one big tube. Looked at kryonaught 37g at over £55 and decided that prolimatech PK-3 30g was significantly better value at £26 considering the small difference in performance between them. I also noticed an EK supremacy sTR4 nickel block in the B grade selection which I grabbed. It's in pretty nice condition considering the £40 reduction. It should make a fair difference to the cooling of my threadripper as I have one of the first EK blocks which is only a bit better than an AIO and worse than a noctua.

I love B grade. I got my EK Titan XP block brand new for £54 and all of my fittings came from there also. It's saved me from financial oblivion so many times.

And then proceeds to spend the remaining £54 saved from the GPU block on random items to post in this thread haha.

I am starting to think you have the same willpower in resisting to spend as Dicehunter :D :D :D

Hehe. I just wanted to add everything I could to stop me messing with it. It's worked so far :D

Bought a new smart phone, finally! It's only my second smart phone ever (because I'm old). Went from my first, an old Droid Moto 3 that I paid $150CDN for (refurbished), to a brand new OnePlus 6T. Ho lee poop, what a difference a good screen makes!
