The signal strength is much higher and the range is so much more better. With the ISP provided VM "Superhub" the wireless connection was intermittent and the range was frankly terrible. Also, as MrKambo mentioned, it provides a 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless frequency, which is not a feature that most ISP provided modems/routers provide. If you're a parent, some routers also provide parental control whereby you can limit the amount of time your children have access to the internet. Other notable features include QoS (Quality of Service), which allows prioritization of bandwidth. There's a lot more if you delve deeper into the settings, but you can get the idea of how much benefit there is in getting a high quality router. |

just upgraded to 4g and traded in my s3 in for a iphone 5s, got a decent enough deal, ending my contract early by 9 months, and the purchase prrice i am only £70 out of pocket!!
