After quite a while, I finally decided to upgrade my PC and replaced my 2 Asus GTX670 SLI with a Zotac GTX1080 Amp Edition... finally running all my games in ultra flawlessly!

Good isn't it, I've gone from SLI 950s to the Zotac 1070 and the ability to just move every slider in the graphics options to max is an amazing feeling. Pascal really does deliver when it comes to pure gaming performance, what a time to be alive.

That is a cool card, just wondering why you did not jump to AMP Extreme? If its for money ok, but as its a 1080 Master Race then go full out or?

I am still wondering how it feels play all at max in ultrawide....

Nice buy.

yeah I had to buy 2 cards for 2 pcs, so I chose the cheapest of the Amp version.
But I am also not really pushing the card to their limit, not overclocking them and only play in 1080p.

anyway, Witcher 3, in ultra with hairwork is freaking amazing!

thought I may have to upgrade my cpu but apparently my 3770K with the 1080 still does the job!

:)

come on 1080p the card is for 1440p+ hand it over

Better be planning on getting a shiny new monitor too.

can't wait to play in 4K, but I'll have to wait before I can get a new screen :)
anyway this card runs really cool... idle temp around 37C, with fan at 0 rpm... no noise at all!
and goes up to 73C at full load and the fan noise is still not audible above the other fans...
I tried to OC from 1823 to 1999 MHz and worked like a charm, just increasing load temps to 76C for just 1 extra fps (from 111 fps to 112.1 fps in Heaven benchmark 4.0).
Extremely satisfied with the card as well as the software "Firestorm".
