My first non-standard heatsink was a Zalman, back in the days you needed southbridge coolers.

Sure the Tuniq Tower rendered everything before it obsolete, but it's still never nice to see a company go under.

Shame really, I've really taken to their recent cases especially the H1.. but this is what happens when big men get greedy, I feel for all the staff and hope another manufacturer steps in to salvage it.

YES WE KNOW! Its great that you posted about it, but to be fair this was far more in-depth. As the news guru, its his responsibility to have a front-page article on most significant news topics. I dont mean to offend you or anything, but your post would not really cut it.

As MadShadow said it is my job here to report the news on the front page. Yes you have posted this on the quick news thread, but me posting a article on the front page delivers this news to a much large amount of people.

I do not mean to cause offence to anyone, I'm just trying to deliver the news to people and providing the front page with more content. I would have wrote it early today but I've been very busy with a huge University deadline, should be sorted out tomorrow though.

It was not supposed to be 'Front Page', that's why I posted in quick news.
I heard there were trouble and started checking the first reports on it, which were very brief, so then I checked their shares and Korean press to get a better idea.

Then why exactly are you complaining "posted yesterday..."

Guys, drop it. It doesn't matter.

d1974, Thank you for giving the initial heads-up to these forums.
WYP, Thank you for writing an in-depth article for the guys that like to read the news on here rather than external sites.

Can we get back on topic now? :)

Well thats stupid, but not entirely unexpected.

I havent bought a zalman product since 2008 because they failed on their promise of silence on that particular cpu cooler, it was pretty damn loud. I hope the people working there end up with new jobs.

Pretty much the same for me, the last time i would have brought one of their products would have been back in about 2005 or 2006.

It's worth looking at the reports of what actually happened. There was a pretty shocking web of fraud going on it seems.

On another note I actually still have a Zalman CNPS9500 on my shelf in a box. :p

The Z11 is a very serious budget contender, and they CPU coolers around the 2010 days were actually decent, traded blows in term of price/performance with many big names. Sad to see em go
