Z87 Haswell and AMD graphics drivers

So I have installed my new Z87 board and chip and done a fresh install of windows on my SSD. Installed Catalyst 13.6 which I have been using fine for a while on my Z68 board with a 2500k.

After hours of getting it to finally install and endless amounts of errors I finally have a display through my XFX 7950 but have no software to control the card (catalyst control center).

I have no idea what to do

Any help or suggestions ?

It requires 4.0, I have 4.5. This is beginning to be quite frustrating, I just hope it is one of those things that magically starts to work :banghead:

ahh my bad, try updating 4 ;)

although when i used windows 8 it just worked....i also know for a fact CCC wont start unless your AMD card is installed properly, might wanna check its actually recognised in the device manager

With my old ASUS ROG IV Gene-z/gen3 I just plugged the card in and connected it to the monitor, it worked but was a horrible resolution, I installed the drives, restarted and done.

However, with this board I can not do that, I have to connect my monitor to my motherboard (as I get nothing through the graphics card) then install drivers, restart then connect to my graphics card. I assumed this could be the issue as the card may not be installed properly as it can't be connected during installation. Thoughts?

The .NET framework versions are not downwards compatible. If you have 4.5 and a application requires 3.5 or 4.0 they will not work must of the times. I had this issue when i was testing some old C# scripts based on some .NET web code.

switch onboard gpu off in the bios, and then connect the card, that should work, i had the same problem, on the ROG forums it said to set onboard gpu off and disable lucid virtuMP and to set the PCI Gen Lanes, yeah done all that and it started working correctly

Sorry I should of said, I tried 4.0 first as it came with motherboard drivers.

I'll give that a go, need to find my way around this Z87X-UD4H bios first ^_^

So yeah, I'll figure how to turn the on board GPU off then completely uninstall all drivers, boot with the graphics card and then install Catalyst. I'll post back when I am done, thanks for the help :)
