Quick question regarding these new Z68 motherboards.

I have a Z68X-UD7 (from Gigabyte) and it allows me to install 4 Ram modules and supports up to 32GB (I think).

So does that mean I can install four individual Ram sticks? I already have two at 4GB (2x2) so can I purchase another pair?

What exactly does that Dual channel means here?

It means they work in pairs so you want to be installing them two at a time, so yes you can buy another pair but if your gaming 4GB is all you need really. You only need 8 GB if your doing lots of rendering and most people don't need more than 8GB. That's what I hear anyway.

what karlos said 4GB is enough for gaming 8GB for video editing 16GB for 3d modeling CAD work etc. 32GB is gonna be really expensive and slightly useless for 99% of the people out there (those 8GB dimms are gonna be worth alot)
