Can this card be overvolted?

I know visiontek is renowned for having non overclockable cards in terms of overvolting do to a lock (or something) in there BIOS.

Is this the case with this card?

Also why is Visiontek always so abnormally cheap?

Don't think many people have them, not seen a single review on them. Are you looking at the $720 one on Amazon?

And maybe they are cheap because it looks like the only defining thing about the card is the fan sticker, basically unbranded.

Think I'd stay away from no name brands. Even if it is reference. I know you have a gift certificate. Maybe look at getting 2 nividia cards or 2 amd's instead. Try to go with something (we've) all heard of maybe. Just MHO.

i found a diamond card that i just ordered.

also i prefer to go with single slot cards because it takes up less space.

I have heard nothing but bad things about HIS, i lost respect for Powercolor a while back, AND i was just now considering the gigabyte 6990 but it costs more. I have had no problems with Diamond, and if i do RMA is easy as can be through Amazon.
