Xonar U7

Wasn't sure where to post, so I posted here.

Here's a pic of my new Xonar U7 USB soundcard which I was lucky enough to win in the recent Christmas giveaway. This should prove to the doubters that, yes, people did win, and they did receive their prize.

After years of using the in-built sound from various motherboards, this has come as a revelation.

Garrus and Legion were escpecially surprised at its compact size and big sound. So much so Garrus is holding it one handed.

Just be careful with those U7 they do have a habit of becoming faulty.

I owned one and mine failed

I also once had one, but the software was misbehaving causing distorted sounds in Windows. I wonder if they ever fixed that.

I hear they're making a new upgraded version, it's on my wish list for sure

I've mainly been using the Xonar in conjunction with a good set of headphones. After years of just using desktop speakers the difference between them is night and day.

If you really want to immerse yourself in the games you play then play with headphones on. You won't want to go back.

And, Tom, keep up the good work, it is mucj appreciated.
