Xonar DG & Roccat Kaves Problem :(

i just got a Xonar DG and a set of Roccat Kaves yesterday. im having major setup issues with this combo. ive tryed simple checks like checking headset is connected properly to each colour code to installing the UNi Xonar drivers which somebody has made. I just cant get ingame sound to work properly. the positional sound is awful and i can barely hear footsteps when other players are only a few meters away ingame.

i noticed the review on here for the DG and the Kaves were used in testing. i was wondering if any of you guys on here have a DG and Kaves and have them working perfect (which ive seen some ppl state they do) and would be willing to help me troubleshoot my problem.

Here are some things to check for:

Make sure you have surround enabled in your Windows settings

In you Xonar settings make sure all 6 channels are enabled

Then make sure you enable 5.1 in analog out

yeah done all that. still sounds bad in games. im just gonna return thm and go for a better combo. thanks alot for your reply.
